Mushi: Toxicity (2024) is an immersive installation created for the Artificial Creatures course, exploring power structures and toxic behavior through
interactive engagement. Initially inspired by themes of feminism and power relations, the project evolved into an exploration of manipulation
and narcissism as forms of control. The installation invites the audience into an intimate dialogue with a creature that appears warm and inviting at first but gradually reveals its hidden complexities—mirroring how toxicity in human interactions often unfolds. Drawing from the metaphor of mushrooms that conceal their toxicity until provoked, the experience challenges perceptions of power, vulnerability, and manipulation in human relationships.
